Harco Loor
Harco Loor Design has been founded in the early 80’s as a result of growing interest and significance of Dutch design in the international field of Lighting.
Throughout his entire life, designer Harco Loor has been fascinated by colours, shapes and functionality. He is of opinion that art without any function cannot be very interesting for a more general public. And so, he decided to combine art with functionality and he started to design his own range of decorative and architectural lighting.
In his early years he often expressed his ideas using Plexiglas in his lighting fixtures. As his designs became more and more organic, he started to use stainless steel and aluminium combined with halogen, mesh shades, glasses, crystals etc.
From the total range of designs, many are hand made and consequently very flexible, meaning other measures (length/width) and appearances are possible on request.
The family range of modern and classic designs is comprised of chandeliers, hanging lamps, ceiling lamps, wall lamps, table lamps and floor lamps. Every lamp carries the signature of the designer Harco Loor himself, whether it is hand woven or hand forged. He personally shapes each design before it leaves his atelier.
